Washout is a by-product of waste concrete. The returned concrete still in a plastic state is “washed out” of the mixer drum into settling ponds where the materials are segregated by the water. After a time, those materials are removed from the ponds and stacked. Washout is used by truck loads and may be as a foundation for drives, parking area, etc.
